what skin conditions do you treat?

I have intentionally built my career around confidently treating all skin types and conditions—especially those often considered more complex or difficult to manage. Through my own skin journey, I recognized a gap in care: it was rare to find a professional who could seamlessly take multiple contributing factors into account. That experience led me to create the kind of support I once needed for myself.
With over 10 years of continued education, including advanced, year-long programs, I take a comprehensive and integrative approach to skin health. I specialize in conditions such as rosacea, complex acne, dermatitis, inflammatory skin concerns, pigmentation disorders, and advanced aging, as well as supporting clients with underlying health considerations.
I am deeply committed to inclusive, individualized care—working with clients of all genders, including those undergoing hormone replacement therapy—everyone deserves to feel confident and at home in their skin.

Why do you primarily offer virtual services?
Can I book an in-person appointment?

Ofelia is the sole esthetician at Lucent and has maintained a full in-person clientele for years. Because of this, in-person availability is limited and typically only becomes available if an existing client transitions out of the schedule (due to moving, switching to virtual care, or other changes).
As a result, openings for new in-person clients are rare and difficult to predict, often only becoming available a few times per year.
Virtual care is a core focus at Lucent and where the majority of results are created. With the right guidance, skincare, and consistency, clients can achieve significant, lasting improvements—no matter where they are located.
If in-person availability does open, it will be announced on social platforms, with priority given to current virtual clients.

We can either do FaceTime or Zoom - whichever you prefer! I may ask that you send some detailed photos prior that we can talk about during your call as well. Don't worry, I'll give guidance on how to take these photos.

How long will it take to clear my skin?

Each individual case is unique. Most clients clear within 3-4 months with some taking around 6 if there are a lot of internal/lifestyle factors to address. 

Can you still help me if i'm pregnant/planning
to be or nursing?

Absolutely :) and happy to! I have lots of experience working with pregnancy and clients' doctors as needed. 

can i get facials while doing your program?

This program is designed so that your results come primarily from your customized routine, home care, and the guidance we implement together—so additional facials are not needed to see progress.
Bringing in outside treatments can sometimes disrupt that progress, especially if they require adjustments to your routine or introduce techniques/products that aren’t aligned with your plan. Even small changes can make it harder to track what’s working and what isn’t.
Of course if you’re wanting a facial for relaxation or personal reasons, we can absolutely talk through it together and make sure it fits in a way that won’t set you back. I can recommend some local facialists to accommodate!
Overall, facials can be a nice addition for self-care—but they’re not a necessary part of achieving results within this program

what is the difference between shopping your
online store and your skinbetter or glymed stores?

You may either shop directly through our store which ships from us, or from our authorized partner links (such as Skinbetter & Glymed Plus). We earn commission from our authorized links so you are still supporting our business! The difference is simply where it is sent from.

how much should i budget for my new
 skincare regimen?

If you're here you're ready to get serious about your skin! We work with all sizes of budget and believe quality skincare should be affordable for everyone. We recommend planning on anywhere from $250 - $1000+ depending on the level of products you'd like to purchase. We love all of our products, but there are some that we prefer over others for good reason of course! Be prepared to never waste money second guessing what your skin needs again.

why do i need authorization to purchase
some of the skincare products?

Some products are very active and need to be used with a regimen that will support them. Overuse of active products can result in a damaged skin barrier and more complications. We want to ethically make sure our clients skin and current regimens can handle these products before purchase.

Can i purchase products elsewhere?

To remain an active client and continue receiving my guidance, I require that all products be purchased directly through my store and links. 
Over the years, I’ve been very intentional about the brands I choose to work with. I’ve spent extensive time building relationships with these companies—understanding how they source their ingredients, how their formulations function both individually and together, and the ethics behind their products. I also have direct access to these brands for ongoing education and support, allowing me to guide your routine with a high level of confidence and precision.
I can confidently stand behind the products I offer and ensure they work as intended within your routine. I’m not able to guarantee that same level of consistency or outcome with products sourced elsewhere.
For your program to be successful, your skincare routine needs to work synergistically. I need full visibility into everything you’re using so I can properly assess interactions, make adjustments, and avoid any unwanted reactions or setbacks.
Purchasing through my portal ensures your routine remains aligned, intentional, and fully supported—while also allowing me to continue providing this level of care through my business.

what if i don't pay my late cancellation fee?

You have 24 hours from your invoice to pay. If your invoice is not paid within 24 hours you will no longer be able to visit Lucent Aesthetics LLC in the future. No exceptions.
