HOW IT WORKS
SkinPen® microneedling works by creating precise, controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering the body’s natural wound-healing response. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production, improves cellular turnover, and strengthens the skin over time. Our advanced training allows us to work on long term tissue remodeling to treat chronic conditions such as acne, melasma, scarring, and rosacea as well.
Because SkinPen delivers consistent depth and speed, treatments are predictable and repeatable, allowing for progressive improvement in texture, scarring, tone, and overall skin quality without unnecessary trauma or barrier disruption.
COMFORT AND SENSATION
Client comfort is a priority here. We do not perform rushed, “in and out” microneedling treatments. Every session includes adequate numbing time and a thoughtful, unrushed approach to ensure the experience is as comfortable as possible.
Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure or vibration rather than pain — and yes, some clients have even fallen asleep during treatment! Taking the time to properly prepare the skin allows for better comfort, better outcomes, and a more positive experience overall.
HEALING AND DOWNTIME
Downtime is typically minimal but varies depending on individual skin response. Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours, with possible tightness. This is one of the highest reward/lowest downtime treatments you can receive!
In the days following treatment, skin may feel dry or lightly textured as it heals. Collagen remodeling continues for weeks after each session, with results building progressively over time.

before your treatment: do's and dont's
Do:
Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to treatment
Take antivirals as necessary to avoid cold sore flares (must reschedule if you have a flare)
Follow pre-care instructions provided via email
Avoid:
Retinoids, exfoliants, or acids for several days prior
Excess sun exposure or tanning
Treatment during skin flares such as dermatitis (must reschedule)
Coming in sick - this treatment is best performed during optimal immunity (must reschedule)
